Breaking
Administrator’s Password!!
Administrator password can be broken by
replacing sam file in system32\config by the sam file in repair folder of
windows. it can be easily done on a machine with dual operating systems, simply
log on to os other then the one whoes password is to be cracked the way is
exactly same as written above but if there is a single os on a machine then
there is only one way i.e to use ms dos start up disk or some other boot disk
and replace the sam file in config folder with the one in repair folder
note:- this method works only if hard drive is FAT32 formatted because NTFS drive does’nt take boot from Ms DOS
This way you can remove the old administratOr password as if the windows is newly installed and the password was’nt set.

Breaking Administrator’s Password of windows xp
There was a loop hole in D Windows XP.which was discovered by the microsoft personnals..U can Break Administrator Password by the following method:
1. Place your Windows XP CD(Bootable) in your cd-rom and start your computer
2. Keep your eye on the screen messages for booting to your cd Typically, it will be “Press any key to boot from cd”
3. Once you get in, the first screen will indicate that Setup is inspecting your system and loading files.
4. When you get to the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to Setup Windows now
5. The Licensing Agreement comes next - Press F8 to accept it.
6. The next screen is the Setup screen which gives you the option to do a Repair.
It should read something like “If one of the following Windows XP installations is damaged, Setup can try to repair it”
Use the up and down arrow keys to select your XP instruction
7. Let the Repair run. Setup will now check your disks and then start copying files which can take several minutes.
8. Shortly after the Copying Files stage, you will be required to reboot. (this will happen automatically – you will see a progress bar stating “Your computer will reboot in 15 seconds”
9. During the reboot, do not make the mistake of “pressing any key” to boot from the CD again! Setup will resume automatically with the standard billboard screens and you will notice Installing Windows is highlighted.
10. Keep your eye on the lower left hand side of the screen and when you see the Installing Devices progress bar, press SHIFT + F10. This is the security hole! A command console will now open up giving you the potential for wide access to your system.
11. At the prompt, type NUSRMGR.CPL and press Enter. NOw You have just gained graphical access to your User Accounts in the Control Panel.
12. Now simply pick the account you need to change and remove or change your password as you prefer. If you want to log on without having to enter your new password, you can type control userpasswords2 at the prompt and choose to log on.

So if you have forgotten the password of your admin account in Windows XP or justwant to break in the Admin account of your college or office, do not worry, you can easily do that. However, I recommend this trick only for your personal use. There are numerous ways available to do so but the best possible way is to use EBCD (Emergency Boot CD), download from here.
Procedure:
1. After you have downloaded the EBCD, extract and run “makeebcd.exe” to create an iso image for burning on the disk.
2. Set Bios to boot from the CD Drive and insert the CD created in above step. You will see the following image, type 5 to select NT password for editor (Linux-based).
3. Then press Enter in the next step to proceed.
4. Press Enter again if you don’t keep Windows on SCSI drive.
5. Select which drive contains your installation files or just press Enter to accept the default value given in the bracket. If your installation is in C: drive just press Enter.
6. Press Enter in the next step to accept default values.
7. Press Enter again.
8. To enter password, press Enter to select the default option.
9. Select the username. To enter password for Administrator just press Enter.
10. To change the password just leave it blank and change it later after login (modifying password at this step will not work).
11. Press Enter to confirm.
12. Type ‘!’ and press Enter in the next step.
13. Type ‘q’ to quit.
14. Type ‘Y’ to write the SAM files.
Congratulations the password has been reset. So just login with no password and enter yours.
How to Change Admin Password in Windows----
Forgetting your password isn’t just embarrassing, it’s a show stopper for your productivity. Suddenly a wall goes up between you and all of your documents, and you’re powerless to access them. Things get even worse if you don’t have the password for any admin account on the computer, because logging in is almost entirely impossible. The good news is that it’s possible to recover the password, and doing so isn’t terribly difficult.
1. There are many ways that can help you in recovery passwords, as you may try logging in with no password administrator login. To do the same, you can go to the default admin account which keeps information of admin credentials. If you haven’t changed its password, try signing-in windows without password.
2. The next idea is about resetting of passwords. In accordance with Microsoft’s Windows support knowledge base you can set a new password by following these steps. If you have typed the wrong password, you’ll receive a message that says your user name or password is incorrect. When this message appears click Ok, click reset password, and then follow the instructions.
3. If last idea didn’t work, you can try this one. Download Windows Password Key 8.0, it is a complete operating system bootable from CD\DVD or USB flash drive.
4. The last way to recover lost admin password. Notice that if you are using an admin account to reset the password, you would not be able to access any E-mail messages, encrypted files and other details ever.
Log on to the administrator account that you will be using to reset the lost password. Open local users and groups, This can be done by clicking the start button icon of the start button, typing Iusrmgr.msc into the search box, and then pressing ENTER. Administrator permission required if you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide verification. Double click local users and groups, and then click users. Type and confirm the new password.
